29 May 12 - SkyMed's Firefly™ Adopted By GB Hockey


EIS investee company Sky Medical Technology has seen its revolutionary Firefly™ devices adopted by the GB Women's hockey team during the run up to the Olympics.

Dave Hamilton, Strength and Conditioning Coach, commented "We started to evaluate the Firefly™ devices earlier this year for the Great Britain Women's hockey team. We were delighted with how quickly the girls were able to deploy them and, most importantly, how effective it has been alongside our current recovery package for facilitating recovery during international tournaments. As a result, we have adopted the Firefly™ devices into our protocol for recovery and will exercise this from now right up to the Games."

The Firefly™ device, powered by OnPulse™ neuromuscular electrostimulation technology, triggers the body's built in mechanisms to increase venous circulation for the accelerated removal of metabolic waste immediately after exercise - as part of a recovery at rest protocol for improved performance.
